{"id":11178,"date":"2022-12-14T04:40:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-14T04:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onecitizendaily.com\/?p=11178"},"modified":"2022-12-14T20:08:30","modified_gmt":"2022-12-14T20:08:30","slug":"world-bank-donates-items-to-al-shabah-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2022\/12\/14\/world-bank-donates-items-to-al-shabah-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"World Bank donates items to Al-Shabah hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Tereza Jeremiah Chuei<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World Bank Country Office in Juba has donated in-kind contributions to children in Al-Sabah Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World Bank had supplied the hospital with medical and non-medical items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three-month drive was recently organized by the World Bank to support the Hospital with assorted items which included bandages, oxygen concentrators, syringes, blankets, sheets, chairs and food packages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking during the handover ceremony, Firas Raad the World Bank Country Manager for South Sudan said that, what they gave was a self-giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the last few months, as you know this is a self-giving we had a discussion as World Bank on what we should do as staff members and (as such) Al-Sabah hospital was one of the key institution that was identified to be (supported) and that is when we started to mobilize and organize this (contribution) and we prioritized Al-Sabah,\u201d Raad said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, Al-Sabah children hospital treats around 55,000 children per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also serves as the only pediatric referral center for children in South Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has around 170 beds and typically admits more children than its hosting capacity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Tereza Jeremiah Chuei The World Bank Country Office in Juba has donated in-kind contributions to children in Al-Sabah Children\u2019s Hospital.
