{"id":11976,"date":"2023-02-13T04:40:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-13T04:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onecitizendaily.com\/?p=11976"},"modified":"2023-02-12T20:13:37","modified_gmt":"2023-02-12T20:13:37","slug":"fourteen-pupils-miss-index-numbers-in-unity-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2023\/02\/13\/fourteen-pupils-miss-index-numbers-in-unity-state\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>Fourteen pupils miss index numbers in Unity State<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Yien Gattuor Mead<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At least 14 pupils will miss to sit for their primary certificate of education examination in Unity State, the director General of education said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director General of Ministry of General Education in Unity State, Micheal Majang Malual, told No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper on Friday last week that 11 male and 3 female candidates will not sit in this year\u2019s examination, due to missing index numbers from Juba to sit in Unity State for the Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We have sent all the names to Juba, no names have been left here, the problem is Juba, not Unity State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Majang said the State generally registered 2,872 candidates, of whom 905 are females and 1,957 are males.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stated that there is no insecurity across Unity State, but people were only displaced by the flood in last three years of 2020, 2021 and 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe candidates should be ready and wait for these examinations that take place two days (today Monday 13-02-2023) to come\u201d Director said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Majang confirmed receipt of the examination on Thursday last week while Koch County the only remaining county received the examination the following morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I communicate with Undersecretary in the National Ministry of General Education this afternoon, they are said they will call us before starting of examination on Monday\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper on Friday, Mr. Gatgun Chiepiny, the Deputy school officer at Upper Nile primary school in Bentiu IDP camp, said they had have recorded 8 pupils who were missing their index numbers. \u201cOur school Upper Nile primary and they will not sit for examination that will take place on Monday across countrywide\u201d Said Gatgun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As school management in Upper Nile primary school our pupils are the first pupils registered during registration, but now our school is leading to those schools who have Miss their indexes in unity state\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to State Ministry of General Education said \u201cyou wait up to Monday, Maybe there will solution from Juba\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his part, Nyakume Gatkuoth Deng, one of the candidates who missed their indexes in Upper Nile primary school, said she was well prepared to face the examination that starts today 13<sup>th<\/sup> February 2023, but very unfortunate, &#8220;I didn&#8217;t receive my index in Upper Nile primary school, I am supposed to receive it with the rest of colleagues\u2019 indexes but I didn&#8217;t receive&#8221; Nyakume lamented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The reason for missing my index, I don&#8217;t know and I don&#8217;t know where the problem come from\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I will wait for next year\u2019s examination because it&#8217;s not human being\u2019s plan, it&#8217;s God plan not to sit this year\u2019s examination 2023\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year 2022, there were at least 240 pupils who missed examination in Unity State in general, and now.
