Commissioner of Morobo County, Joseph Mawa John briefed Central Equatoria state governor, Emmanuel Adil Anthony on the general security situation in his area, describing it as relatively peaceful<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Meeting at the State Secretariat on Wednesday, the two leaders discussed general security situation of the county as well as key fully government funded developmental projects, ongoing in the area.<\/p>\n Speaking to the media after the meeting, the commissioner said that influx of returnees from the neighbouring countries is clearly evidence of relative peace following improved civil-military relations.<\/p>\n \u201cAt the moment we are receiving a large number of returnees coming from settlements to Morobo County due to the relative peace in the county\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Mr. Mawa said that key public institutions in the County especially within education sector are undergoing rehabilitation to pave way for conducive learning environment and quality education.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are preparing education and health facilities as well as administration blocks of five payams. We also opened roads within the county,\u201d Mawa disclosed, saying the state gov\u2019t implements the projects.<\/p>\n According to Mawa, citizens as well as humanitarian workers, move freely and peacefully, in Morobo County.<\/p>\n Mawa however, appealed to the government and other stakeholders to guarantee peace and security in Morobo County for citizens to carry development activities, across the five payams.<\/p>\n Meanwhile Central Equatoria state governor, Emmanuel Adil commended, as \u201ctremendous\u201d the efforts of Morobo County Commissioner in advancing security stabilization and infrastructural development.<\/p>\n He reassured the commissioner of the state government\u2019s commitment to continue supporting the local government in discharging its constitutional mandate diligently to the citizens.<\/p>\n Governor Adil also encouraged Morobo county authority to continue engaging the locals and others, still in the refugee camps to return to their places of origin as general elections slated for 2024 looms.<\/p>\n The Governor further stated that rehabilitation of key production roads, linking local farmers to the main markets, would be on top of his agenda as the agricultural season continues to boost productivity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Emelda Siama John Lopula Commissioner of Morobo County, Joseph Mawa John briefed Central Equatoria state governor, Emmanuel Adil Anthony on the general security situation in his area, describing it as relatively peaceful.
