A first ever mental health clinic has been inaugurated in Nzara County of Western Equatoria State. <\/b><\/p>\n

The Mental Health clinic, at St. Theresa Mission Hospital Nzara is church based and supported by Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB), while the government will give directive and support.<\/p>\n

The state Minister of Health, James Abdullah Arona while officiating as guest of honor at the inauguration, expressed appreciation to administration of St. Theresa and CMMB.<\/p>\n

Arona said that most of the population in Yambio and other parts will travel to Nzara to get medication than going to Juba and outside the country.<\/p>\n

He described the development as \u201ca good achievement\u201d to the state and the country at large.<\/p>\n

CMMB senior Manager for Children and Mothers Partnerships, Veronica Kenyi, said that they were in partnership with the Catholic Church to see that the community, mothers and children are treated when in need of health services.<\/p>\n

She said they are also working closely with the ministry of health at both state and national levels to see how services reach the community at the grassroots.<\/p>\n

Veronica called for more support to boost health issues in the state, revealing that they have plans to expand to other part of the state.<\/p>\n
