We were born girls<\/p>\n

That our mother made the grievous<\/p>\n

Mistake in the world<\/p>\n

That giving birth to a baby girl<\/p>\n

Is a crime<\/p>\n

The best novel winning award<\/p>\n

Not just in Africa<\/p>\n

But in the entire world<\/p>\n

She was awarded with 16 doctorate honouring awards<\/p>\n

From the best universities in the world,<\/p>\n

Harvard awarded her. John Hopkins awarded her.<\/p>\n

Yale University awarded her. American University<\/p>\n

Awarded her<\/p>\n

Many and many other universities in Africa<\/p>\n

And the rest of the world awarded her.<\/p>\n

And countless Universities graduations<\/p>\n

In and outside Africa.<\/p>\n

Cleaning or other home chores,<\/p>\n

She does because she wants to.<\/p>\n

She is treated like a king<\/p>\n

Though rather a queen by her husband,<\/p>\n

But she is a woman like us.<\/p>\n

They enslaved women<\/p>\n

And they shamelessly call it a culture.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Adichie.<\/p>\n

No culture now.<\/p>\n

Men and women are the same.<\/p>\n

They must share the same privileges.<\/p>\n

You said you can\u2019t waste your money.<\/p>\n

Paying us in school<\/p>\n

That our education makes you<\/p>\n

Feel paralyzed.<\/p>\n

You are wrong.<\/p>\n

Go to YouTube<\/p>\n

Watch her<\/p>\n

Go to other media programs.<\/p>\n

You must repent!<\/p>\n

Your culture is wrong!<\/p>\n

My two sisters are<\/p>\n

In the university now<\/p>\n

I am in my fourth year<\/p>\n

Of my secondary education now<\/p>\n

We will all finish<\/p>\n
