A man who escaped war in Sudan has been killed, three children abducted, and woman goes missing following a road ambush in Nyirol, Jonglei state on Wednesday, authorities said. <\/b><\/p>\n
The attack victims, all members of the same family, are among a group of citizens returning from Khartoum to their hometown, Langkien in Nyirol after fleeing the ongoing war in Sudan.<\/p>\n
Nyirol County commissioner, James Bol Makuey, told No.1 Citizen daily Newspaper<\/em><\/strong> that the incident occurred at the outskirts of Pulturuk Payam.<\/p>\n \u201cThis family was in the company of several others from Malakal where they were hosted after fleeing fighting in Sudan. The rest of the people escaped unhurt,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n The county commissioner condemned the attack, blaming it on cattle raiders and called for the protection of returnees.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are asking ourselves why these people are attacking returnees who seek peace.
