\u200bSouth Sudan National Security Service (NSS) has defended the boss of internal security bureau, Gen Akol Koor Kuc, over an alleged doctored audio that claimed he intended harm against the person and integrity of President Salva Kiir Mayardit.<\/strong><\/p>\n The alleged \u201cconcocted audio\u201d circulated widely on various WhatsApp platforms, alleging that Gen. Koor purportedly hired spear masters to wish harm against Kiir.<\/p>\n However, NSS Director of Public Relation \u2013 Internal Security Bureau, David John Kumuri, on Monday termed the audio as \u2018baseless\u2019 adding it was created by people with \u2018evil\u2019 intention toward the spy boss.<\/p>\n \u201cThe public is hereby informed that the Director General is not in the country and has no knowledge of such evil acts directed at harming the person of the President, his reputation, and integrity,\u201d Kumuri said.<\/p>\n \u201cFurthermore, adversaries of the Director General, who want to create a rift between him and H.E. the President, concocted the media propaganda,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n He also implored general public to refrain from participating in such harmful propaganda, asserting that such \u2018concoction\u2019 not only threatens the safety of President but also undermines country\u2019s stability.<\/p>\n \u201cThe ISB is dedicated to protecting our great country and will not tolerate any attempts to disrupt the peace and harmony that we have worked so hard to attain,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n Mr. Kumuri stated that national security service will \u2018leave no stone unturned\u2019 and warned of a \u2018stern\u2019 legal suit toward those who would be found guilty, should any fingerprint point to them.<\/p>\n \u201cAnybody found engaging in such harmful propaganda against the integrity and person of the President and that of the Director General of the Internal Security Bureau (ISB) shall face the full force of the law if apprehended,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n \u201cThe service will (leave) no stone unturned in its pursuit of justice, and we will ensure that those responsible for spreading harmful propagandas are held accountable,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n According to Kumuri, the national security service is now conducting thorough investigation and general public would be informed in due time.<\/p>\n \u201cThe national security services appeal to the general public to refrain from such harmful acts, which constitute a grave crime under our laws and cooperate with our investigation team and report any suspicious activities immediately,\u201d the spy mouthpiece warned.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By William Madouk \u200bSouth Sudan National Security Service (NSS) has defended the boss of internal security bureau, Gen Akol Koor Kuc, over an alleged doctored audio that claimed he intended harm against the person and integrity of President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
