In the heart of Africa, a tale untold,
\nA story of courage, dreams unfold,
\nAmidst the strife and battles fought,
\nA nation emerged, a nation planned,
\nSouth Sudan, free at last.<\/p>\n

Born out of wars and struggle,
\nFrom the ashes of conflict,
\nA phoenix arose,
\nFor her peoples’ spirits never did crumble,
\nA land yearning for peace where love overflows,
\nCenturies of struggle, a quest for liberation, freedom and a
\nprecious life,
\nSons and daughters united as one,
\nFrom the greater Upper Nile, Mayom Denger Equatoria to the greater Bahr
\nEl Ghazal,
\nA land to be one
\nSouth Sudan embraced its moment of creation.<\/p>\n

Amidst the cheers and joyful cries,
\nThe flag unfurled and flagging high,
\nA symbol of pride, hope and unity,
\nIn the face of adversity,
\nIn it’s colors, the promise of a brighter dawn,
\nBlack, red, green, blue, white and yellow a nation’s guide,
\nA tapestry of cultures hand in hand,
\nFrom the Dinka, Nuer, Bari, Collo and other tribes united, they stand,
\nIn celebration of freedom, a united band,
\nSouth Sudan, radiant and free,
\nA testament to the power of unity.<\/p>\n

With fervent hope and unity’s embrace,
\nThe people stood tall, a sovereign space,
\nFrom the chains of oppression, they broke free,
\nTo reclaim their land, their destiny,
\nWith courage, a blaze, they faced the fight,
\nOur heroes and heroines, made it possible,
\nYour liberation, a triumph so sweet,
\nA tale of courage, we shall repeat,
\nA chorus of voices lifted high,
\nTheir songs of freedom, a heartfelt cry,
\nEchoed through the valleys and hills high,
\nLeaders emerged with a vision so clear,
\nGuiding their people and conquering fear,
\nThey built a nation brick by brick,
\nWith determination, resilience and brilliance,
\nJustice, liberty and prosperity as their compass,
\nNever to flick,
\nWith dreams and aspirations swore,
\nSouth Sudan, a nation reborn,
