Police in Unity State on Saturday arrested a medical Doctor in Rubkona County in connection to the death of a Sudanese trader<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The deceased was identified as Mohamed Wanga.<\/p>\n Rubkona County Deputy Police Director. Brig. Gen. Franco Mayiel told No. 1 Citizen Daily Newspaper that the doctor was accused of injecting the trader with Benzathine penicillin.<\/p>\n “The authorities in Rubkona County have taken action against a doctor who committed crimes against the community, Sudanese traders, and also Ethiopian,” he said.<\/p>\n “The deceased went to the clinic on Wednesday last week to be tested, and he tested positive for malaria at the clinic in Rubkona County.”<\/p>\n But, the doctor recommended the injection to treat the disease.<\/p>\n The doctor then started injecting the parent with Benzathine on the second day, but the patient was not getting better on the second day, according to the police investigation.<\/p>\n “The patient died as a result of buttock Abscess secondary to Benzathine penicillin intramuscular injection at Bentiu IDP camp hospital,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n “The details of the investigation will come when we finish with all remaining investigations, then the doctor will be sent to Bentiu headquarters prison.”<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Magup Ahmed, the chairperson of Sudanese traders in Unity State, commended the authorities for continuing to investigate the case in a fair way.<\/p>\n “I urged the Unity State government to check the documents of all doctors that are operating in Unity State General because the majority of the doctors are committed against civilians,” Ahmed said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Yien Gattour Police in Unity State on Saturday arrested a medical Doctor in Rubkona County in connection to the death of a Sudanese trader.
