Police in Lakes State is investigating a case of shooting of man who allegedly impregnated a girl and later promised to marry her.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The incident occurred at Alau-agaap cattle camp in Rumbek East County on Wednesday.<\/p>\n The victim, Mr. Thon Marual Kau was reportedly shot and critically wounded by the brother of the girl, is still in critical condition.<\/p>\n A preliminary investigation revealed that the motive behind the man’s shooting was due to his act of impregnating and eloping the perpetrator’s sister.<\/p>\n The police spokesperson in Lakes State, Maj. Elijah Mabor Makuac, told the No. 1 Citizen Daily Newspaper that the suspect has been identified as Mr. Thon Marual Kau, a brother to the girl.<\/p>\n “According to the information we received, the victim engaged a girl, and he was making arrangements to conduct an official marriage.
