Police officers based in Wanjok, Aweil East County, Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, are holding two women suspected of having a hand in the death of a ten-year-old boy.<\/p>\n
The deceased boy was reportedly left home by her parents but later found lifeless and dumped in a pool, locally known as \u201cH’afir\u201d in Arabic.<\/p>\n
According to police, the deceased was surprisingly found dead with wounds all over his body.<\/p>\n
The two women being detained by police as suspects are neighbors to the deceased.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the deceased boy\u2019s mother went to the market and, upon returning, found her son missing, prompting a thorough search that fatefully led to the discovery of the boy\u2019s body in the pool of water.<\/p>\n
The state\u2019s police spokesperson, Captain Guot Guot Akol, confirmed the incident saying that the matter took the residents by surprise as crimes are on the rise.<\/p>\n
He said that investigations are underway to help police determine the cause of the boy\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
“This interrogation with the two women is because they are neighbors, and they could know what the cause of the problem is as they are so close to the boy\u2019s residence,” Captain Guot said.<\/p>\n
According to the police officer, wounds on the deceased were indications of an assault.<\/p>\n
“Nonetheless, the boy has wounds on his body, which seems to mean that he was hit till he died,” the police spokesperson disclosed.<\/p>\n
Last week, a man was also found dead on the trunk of a tree after he fell down in Madhol Payam.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement agencies in the state say that similar criminal incidents are so common these days in the state.<\/p>\n
The police authorities urged the residents to always tip them off so that such activities could be dealt with immediately.<\/p>\n
