{"id":19881,"date":"2023-11-11T08:45:25","date_gmt":"2023-11-11T08:45:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onecitizendaily.com\/?p=19881"},"modified":"2023-11-10T19:33:28","modified_gmt":"2023-11-10T19:33:28","slug":"south-sudan-u15-scores-12-0-against-djibouti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2023\/11\/11\/south-sudan-u15-scores-12-0-against-djibouti\/","title":{"rendered":"South Sudan U15 scores 12-0 against Djibouti"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Charles K Mark<\/p>\n<p>South Sudan\u2019s U15 boys football team, the Bright Stars on Friday thrashed their group opponent Djibouti team with a basketful of 12 -0 goals in their last group stage match of the ongoing CECAFA Championship tournament in Uganda.<\/p>\n<p>Uganda\u2019s Rhino had already booked a second victory in the Tournament by walloping the South Sudan Bright Stars U15 team beating them 3 to nil on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The game-changer and matchmaker on South Sudan\u2019s side happened to be none other than the team\u2019s Captain Lazarus Peter.<\/p>\n<p>In the first minute of the game, Lazarus did not wait to net the first goal which opened up and boosted the morale of the young stars.<\/p>\n<p>He went ahead to humiliate their opponents with six more goal penetrations in the 21, 22, 30, 63, 70, and 89<sup>th<\/sup> minutes which won him a double hat trick.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, two more goals from the Bright Stars\u2019 side were scored by Anur Loburu while the rest came from Loius Domano, Ajo Lomoro and David Biel.<\/p>\n<p>The youngsters took up their first win with passion following a 1-1 draw with Ethiopia\u2019s Walia in their first match opener of the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>Djibouti\u2019s U-15 team first suffered a 15-0 defeat in their group opening game against Uganda.<\/p>\n<p>South Sudan will now have to wait for Uganda\u2019s Match against Ethiopia to determine their chances of progressing to the next stage.<\/p>\n<p>This will mean the Bright Stars will be knocked out if Ethiopia wins their match against the Rhinos of Uganda.<\/p>\n<p>But for South Sudan to book a space in the next stage, Uganda must win with a minimum of 3-0 goals or above.<\/p>\n<p>The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) registered nine (9) teams\u2019 participation in this Championship.<\/p>\n<p>The last CECAFA U-15 Boys Championship was held in Asmara, Eritrea in 2019 where Uganda defeated Kenya in the final to lift the trophy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Charles K Mark South Sudan\u2019s U15 boys football team, the Bright Stars on Friday thrashed their group opponent Djibouti team with a basketful of 12 -0 goals in their last group stage match of the ongoing CECAFA Championship tournament in Uganda.
