Central Bank Governor Dr. James Alic Garang has pledged to finish construction of the bank’s Aweil branch during a recent visit.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n “I’m here to see the progress,” Garang told media. “The wall is complete, but we need to furnish the interior and plan an official opening.”<\/p>\n He committed to sending a team from Juba within the next month to assess the remaining work.<\/p>\n “We will send a team to furnish and put the final touches on the building within the next month.” He stated. “We need to plan for a functional launch.”<\/p>\n Garang also urged the state governor to ensure investing in agriculture to combat poverty.<\/p>\n For his part Northern Bahr el Ghazal State Governor, Tong Aken Ngor highlighted that the Aweil Rice Scheme as a national agriculture project needing funding.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have Aweil Rice Scheme which is a national project and it needs the national government to do something\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n \u201cAs it needs at least funding to solve more problems in the country.
