One person was killed, and seven others were injured in a road accident on Thursday evening in Awerial County, Lakes State.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Lakes State Police Spokesperson Major Elijah Mabor Makuac, confirmed the incident to No.1 Citizen Daily Newspaper yesterday.<\/p>\n He said that a commercial vehicle travelling from Juba to Cueibet County lost control and overturned near Guolyar around 8:00 pm, resulting in the death of one passenger and injuries to seven others.<\/p>\n Major Makuac further stated that the injured individuals were transported to Yirol Hospital for medical treatment, while the driver was remanded in Guolyar.<\/p>\n “Preliminary investigations suggest that the vehicle was about to overturn, causing eight passengers to fall out,” he explained.<\/p>\n “One person died as a result, and seven others sustained serious injuries.”<\/p>\n The police spokesperson concluded by saying, the driver is currently under detention in Guolyar, and a full investigation into the accident is ongoing.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Yang Ater Yang One person was killed, and seven others were injured in a road accident on Thursday evening in Awerial County, Lakes State.
