Residents of Locoto Boma in Budi County, Eastern Equatoria State, are urging the government to prioritize construction of a permanent school in the area.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Currently, learners at Nangorilem Primary School are enduring lessons under trees, with instruction frequently interrupted during the rainy season.<\/p>\n Dario Lokiru, a teacher at Nangorilem Primary School, expressed deep concern about the inadequate structure of the school facility.<\/p>\n He lamented, \u201cSee this structure, we are operating under the trees, we are using plastic sheets to cover this temporary shelter when it\u2019s raining and during sunshine we remove it.\u201d<\/p>\n Lokiru stated that they have repeatedly raised their concerns with the government, but their appeals have fallen on deaf ears.<\/p>\n \u201cMany times, we raised the issue of this school, but nobody listened to us. What do you expect us to do when our county authority is giving no ears to our call,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Among the challenges highlighted by Lokiru are the lack of blackboards and insufficient classrooms for the learners.<\/p>\n Mary Nadio, another resident, urged the Budi County authorities to prioritize the construction of permanent school structures in Nangorilem.<\/p>\n \u201cThis school remain like this, many commissioners come and go without thinking of fixing another structure even if it is semi-permanent or permanent.
