A Ugandan man residing at Lomuku suburb of Yei town, Central Equatoria State has been arrested for killing his six-months-pregnant wife.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n According to Yei River County Police Inspector, Hussein Daud Jano the suspect, identified as a 30-year-old Sunday Paul, hails from Lugazi, has been in South Sudan for three years working as a timber cutter.<\/p>\n The prime suspect told the police that he has no children with the deceased woman except the unborn baby.<\/p>\n According to the suspect, who briefly narrated the ordeal, he acted upon suspicion of his wife’s infidelity.<\/p>\n \u201cI never knew I was going to kill my wife, I tried to kick her from down unfortunately my leg landed on her stomach, later she died and that’s why they brought me inside for custody\u201d Sunday said.<\/p>\n He alleged that he kicked the woman because she was in relationship with someone, which angered him.<\/p>\n The victim has been identified as Anyeyo Betress, with Kenyan father and South Sudanese mother.<\/p>\n As police continue investigating the incident, Inspector Jano offered condolences to the bereaved family, urging them to remain calm while authorities handle the case.<\/p>\n “We understand this is a difficult time for the family. We are gathering information and will ensure justice is served.
