Juba County Commissioner urges residents to develop and protect their land.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Emmanuel Tete Ezbon was speaking during a memorial event of 2022 murder incident, at Lokiliri Payam.<\/p>\n The commissioner appealed for solidarity among community members in guarding and protecting the environment, especially the land and its features.<\/p>\n He noted the importance of trees while lamented the negative impact of random cutting and forest destruction on the environment.<\/p>\n \u201cLive in unity and love. Development and rehabilitation cannot occur in seclusion,\u201d the commissioner urged.<\/p>\n On the occasion, the commissioner consoled those who lost their beloved ones during the land struggle, to place God at heart for strength and healing.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the director of Lokiliri Payam, Juma Katanga, described land grabbing that led to killing of the people, as a horrible and inhuman.<\/p>\n \u201cSuch practices make communities lose energetic and able-bodied men from communities that would develop the country,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n Katanga expressed that as residents lose their beloved sons during their duties in protecting what belonged to them, there should be hope to bring love.<\/p>\n Central Equatoria State and Juba County authorities joined the Lokiliri community, on Friday for the memorial prayer of the eight people killed in 2022 land-related scuffle.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Charles K Mark Juba County Commissioner urges residents to develop and protect their land.
