Insecurity, poor roads, communication and food insecurity plagues Nyirol County officials in Jonglei State.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n A delegation led by Nyirol County Commissioner, James Bol Makuei raise the concerns while meeting Vice President for Infrastructure Cluster, Taban Deng Gai in his office.<\/p>\n In a statement to the media, the team highlighted insecurity as the most pressing issue that requires national government intervention.<\/p>\n “Poor road connectivity and a complete lack of telecommunication services like MTN and Digitel are also major challenges for our people,” Commissioner Makuei echoed.<\/p>\n Meanwhile an area Member of Parliament, backed up the concerns emphasizing their commitment to peace and serving need of the constituents, not partisan politics.<\/p>\n After listening the local authorities\u2019 grievances, Vice President Gai pledged a “collaborative approach” with officials and development partners to address Nyirol’s concerns.<\/p>\n “If all South Sudanese politicians prioritized the people’s needs, our country would see significant progress,” he said.<\/p>\n The Vice President assured the delegation that the government would work to improve critical infrastructure and security in Nyirol County.<\/p>\n This meeting reflects Vice President Gai’s focus on addressing immediate concerns in South Sudan’s states and counties alongside broader national development plans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Kidega Livingstone Insecurity, poor roads, communication and food insecurity plagues Nyirol County officials in Jonglei State.
