South Sudan Football Association president, Gen. Augustino Madut Parek is in Melut and Renk to acquit himself of the challenges facing the two local football associations.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Gen. Maduot, who is also President of Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA), was accompanied by members of Board of Directors of SSFA.<\/p>\n In Melut and Renk, Gen. Madut holds numerous meetings focusing on infrastructural development, talent identification and promotion, and training programs for referees, coaches, and football administrators in the two football associations.<\/p>\n \u201cThe visit to Melut and Renk is part of General Madut’s broader initiative to engage with local football associations across the country; it\u2019s aimed at extending support and exchanging ideas, and the SSFA also aims to catalyze growth and prosperity within the country\u2019s football landscape,\u201d reads a statement on the SSFA official social media page.<\/p>\n This is the second visit of Gen. Madut to state-registered FAs in a space of two weeks. While in Yambio at the start of this month, he promised to renovate Gbudwe National Stadium and work with other partners in the state to promote football.<\/p>\n It\u2019s worth noting that the South Sudan National League is expected to kick off next week; unfortunately, some of the local football associations, like Nasir and Abeyi, among others, did not submit any champions to represent their respective FAs, and the visit of Gen. Madut will help them understand some of the challenges the associations are going through and how they can be addressed.<\/p>\n \u201cThis visit marks a significant stride in the SSFA’s commitment to nurturing grassroots football and strengthening ties with local football associations.
