Government has launched the construction of Inland Custom Clearance Area Site in Nimule.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Vice President for the Economic Cluster, Dr. James Wani Igga, led the inauguration of the ground-breaking ceremony on Thursday.<\/p>\n This marked an important milestone in enhancing trade infrastructure and boosting regional connectivity.<\/p>\n It comes a day after Ministry of Investment signed an MoU with\u00a0 B\u2019smart, a Malaysian-East African company, to undertake the construction work.<\/p>\n Investment Minister, Dr. Dheiu Mathok Diing, said on Tuesday after meeting with a delegation from B\u2019smart recalled numerous Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) inked between the Malaysian firm and South Sudan in 2021.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd they will also construct the investment tower, which is a key project for us, and we believe that by implementing this important milestone regarding the investment environment, I know that things will move well,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n The Vice President, along with a distinguished delegation, was warmly received by the Governor of Eastern Equatoria State, Louis Lobong Lojore.<\/p>\n The delegation included the National Minister of Trade and Industry, William Anyuon Kuol, Deputy Minister of ICT&PS and Chairperson of the e-services Board of Directors, Dr. Jacob Maiju Korok, the head of the South Sudan Revenue Authority, and representatives from Crawford Capital.<\/p>\n Among the dignitaries present was Mr. Mirzan Mahathir, the President of B’Smart.<\/p>\n The construction of the Nimule Dry Port, an Inland Custom Clearance Area, holds huge potential for facilitating trade and expediting the movement of goods in the region.<\/p>\n This infrastructure project is expected to enhance logistics efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and stimulate economic growth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Staff writer Government has launched the construction of Inland Custom Clearance Area Site in Nimule.
