A two-day workshop in Mere Trading Centre, Kajo-Keji County aimed at boosting farmers\u2019 skills in post-harvesting and saving has concluded on Tuesday.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The workshop aimed to provide 40 participants, 70% of whom were women, with skills in post-harvest handling and savings and loan management.<\/p>\n The training, which took place on May 27th and 28th, attracted farmers from all five Payams in Kajo-Keji County.<\/p>\n CEPO’s goal was to equip farmers with the necessary knowledge and tools to effectively manage their harvests and income.<\/p>\n The participants learned record-keeping techniques to monitor their agricultural output and sales.<\/p>\n Following the workshop, farming groups received essential supplies such as ox ploughs, agricultural seedlings, savings boxes, passbooks for members, and stationery.<\/p>\n CEPO’s project, launched in 2021, targets the Northern Districts of Uganda and Kajo-Keji County, aiming to strengthen community resilience during conflict situations with a focus on gender sensitivity.<\/p>\n The project is implemented in collaboration with the Austrian Centre for Peace and funded by the Austrian Development Agency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Kei Emmanuel Duku A two-day workshop in Mere Trading Centre, Kajo-Keji County aimed at boosting farmers\u2019 skills in post-harvesting and saving has concluded on Tuesday.
