South Sudan cabinet on Friday passed a strict guideline for officials seeking an audience with President Salva Kiir Mayardit.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Under the revised guidelines, government post holders must now follow a verification and approval process before being granted access to the president’s office.<\/p>\n The changes come after Joseph Bangasi Bakosoro, the Minister of Presidential Affairs, presented a memo outlining recommendations for health and safety measures in the president’s office.<\/p>\n Speaking to the press after the meeting, Jacob Mijok Korok, the Deputy Minister of Information said the memo simplifies the scheduling and processing of visitors.<\/p>\n \u201cIn other business, Hon. Joseph Bangasi Bakosoro, the minister of Presidential Affairs, presented a memo on health and safety measures in the office of the President. So, this was actually a quick memo and passed by Council,\u201d he said<\/p>\n For example, he said ministers can now submit filled forms to the Cabinet Affairs. The forms would then be forwarded to the Minister of Presidential Affairs, who would schedule a meeting with the president.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, you have to fill the forms and this form will be taken to the Office of the Minister of Presidential Affairs. And then you will be actually informed that your time actually has come,\u201d Korok narrated.<\/p>\n Mr. Korok explained that only vice presidents and advisors are exempted, \u2018they can go direct.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cFrom the advisors and vice presidents; they have the categories that they can actually go direct,\u201d he disclosed.<\/p>\n \u201cBut the rest of the teams, they have the specific areas that they can actually submit their applications to avoid a lot of congestions,\u201d Korok concluded.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By William Madouk South Sudan cabinet on Friday passed a strict guideline for officials seeking an audience with President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
