An army officer is in police custody on suspicion of shooting of a 12-year-old boy at Midan Jamus playground in Munuki residential area on Wednesday.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n South Sudan Police Spokesperson, Maj. Gen. Daniel Justin, detailed the incident, saying a soldier, who was guarding a nearby house, fired live round at the boy, killing him instantly.<\/p>\n The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, however, Maj. Gen. Justin reported that the soldier accused the boy of taking photograph of the house without authorization.<\/p>\n “An altercation ensued when the soldier questioned the boy about photographing the building,” said Maj. Gen. Justin. “The situation escalated, and the soldier discharged his weapon.”<\/p>\n Police responded swiftly to the scene and apprehended the suspect, and an investigation is going on, Maj. Gen.
