African Union\u2019s Peace and Security Council applauded South Sudan\u2019s leadership for improved peace and stability across the country.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n According to Presidential press unit, the AU delegation on Wednesday held a meeting with President Salva Kiir at state house, J1.<\/p>\n \u201cThe African Union peace and Security Council has praised South Sudan\u2019s leadership for making great progress toward maintaining the country\u2019s peace and stability,\u201d partly reads the Press statement.<\/p>\n In a joint press conference, Uganda\u2019s permanent representative to AU, Rebecca Amuge Otengo, who is optimistic about the young nation is future said \u201cthe AU thinks that, with the ongoing efforts, long term peace and stability can be reached in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n The visiting AU delegation, urged all the parties to the agreement to embrace peace for brighter future.<\/p>\n AU group further underscored that the importance of international community\u2019s support in addressing challenges facing East Africa\u2019s youngest country.<\/p>\n Besides, the group underlined the need of communication and inclusivity in the political process and teamwork in peace treaties.<\/p>\n While, the minister of Cabinet Affairs, Martin Elia Lomuro appreciated the African Union delegation for their unwavering support to Juba administration to achieving peace and security.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Rehan Ajuet Moun African Union\u2019s Peace and Security Council applauded South Sudan\u2019s leadership for improved peace and stability across the country.
