Central Equatoria State government on Friday, unveiled a five-year strategic plan, with lasting peace, service delivery and developmental projects as priorities.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Drafting of the strategic plan to realize a lasting peace and service delivery in six counties, was done in a three-day workshop, convened by the state Ministry of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency.<\/p>\n Speaking at the closure of the workshop, Juba County commissioner, Emmanuel Tete Ezbon said his administration would ensure that all the components of the strategic plan, are implemented.<\/p>\n \u201cWe need to make sure that all of us in the level of counties will work hard to implement the strategic plan of the coming five years,\u201d said Tete.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will provide all the necessary needs for the implementation of this plan because without a plan, I think we will never reach any distance or we just remain as local gov\u2019t without delivering services and providing the needs of our citizens,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n He called on participants to go and preach to their respective counties, the state\u2019s visionary plans.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Director General in the state ministry of local government, Canon Martin Simon Wani cited that completion of the policy plan shows that the state is on right track, in realization of equitable services delivery and growth.<\/p>\n \u201cWe shall be able to finish the remaining process and launch our strategic plan within a reasonable time from today,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n \u201cWe can work together for building of the lasting peace, sustainable service delivery and equitable development in the local government institutions of Central Equatoria State,\u201d added Wani.<\/p>\n The workshop, partly funded by Oxfam, also attracted other partners such as; the International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Nation Development Program (UNDP) and The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).<\/p>\n The event was organized under the theme \u201ctogether for lasting peace, sustainable service delivery and equitable development in local government councils of Central Equatoria State\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By William Madouk Central Equatoria State government on Friday, unveiled a five-year strategic plan, with lasting peace, service delivery and developmental projects as priorities.
