A tragic boating accident has left two people dead, three others in critical condition while and one person missing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n A vessel en route Likuangule from Pibor, carrying 15 security personnel capsized on Sunday. The passengers were part of peace mission organized by state authorities and various partners.<\/p>\n Oleyo Akuer, the Minister of Information for the Greater Pibor Administrative Area, says the boat was carrying essential equipment and six firearms, all of which were lost to the waters.<\/p>\n \u201cIt happened yesterday when some security forces were traveling from Likugule along Pibor River. The driver of the boat was stung but a bee and he lost control and the boat capsized. Three people went missing but today two have been among them have been found dead.\u201dAkuer said.<\/p>\n Akuer said emergency response teams have been actively searching for the missing individuals of which two have been confirmed dead since the incident.<\/p>\n He said among the survivors, three had been urgently transported to a nearby hospital due to severe injuries sustained in the accident.<\/p>\n Akuer said authorities are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident and are working diligently to locate the missing personnel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Deng Ghai Deng A tragic boating accident has left two people dead, three others in critical condition while and one person missing.
