Central Equatoria State Governor Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani delivered a message on South Sudan Martyrs Day, paying tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes and urging unity and patriotism.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n In his address, Jadalla honored the sacrifices made by those who fought for South Sudan’s freedom, emphasizing the importance of remembering their contributions to the country’s liberation from oppression.<\/p>\n The day also marks the death of prominent freedom fighter Dr. John Garang De Mabior.<\/p>\n \u201cWe dedicate this day to all our fallen heroes and heroines,\u201d Wani said. \u201cTheir belief, dedication, and courage are the foundations upon which our nation was built.\u201d<\/p>\n Jadalla also paid homage to key figures in South Sudan\u2019s struggle for independence, including SPLA heroes Keribino Kuanyin Bol, William Nyuon, and Kuol Amum, as well as Anya-nya-1 veterans such as Santirino Ohure and Ali Gbatala.<\/p>\n The governor called for national solidarity, urging citizens to forgive past grievances, focus on nation-building, and strive for peace.<\/p>\n He emphasized that the freedom enjoyed today is a direct result of the sacrifices made by these martyrs.<\/p>\n The governor concluded by invoking blessings for the martyrs, their families, and President Salva Kiir Mayardit, reaffirming his commitment to honoring their legacy and continuing the work of building a unified and peaceful South Sudan.<\/p>\n \u201cLong live our heroes and heroines,\u201d Wani declared. \u201cLong live President Salva Kiir Mayardit, the leader of our Republic.\u201d<\/p>\n Martyrs\u2019 Day, held annually on July 30, commemorates the death of those who lost their lives in the struggle for South Sudan\u2019s independence.
