The owner of South Supreme Airlines, Ayii Duang Ayii has been summoned by the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA) amid allegations surrounding leaked cheques worth millions of dollars that have circulated on social media.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The Standing Specialized Committee on Trade and Industry demanded Ayii’s presence on Tuesday, August 20, to clarify and provide the name of the government institution that requested South Supreme Airlines to supply subsidized food commodities and fuel products amounting to USD 193,248,955.90.<\/p>\n Lawmakers would also demands clarity on the relationship between South Supreme Airlines with a foreign company named Noble Enterprise Ltd, Kenya mentioned therein.<\/p>\n Additionally, the committee demands comprehensive information on all contracts awarded to South Supreme Airlines by the government through the Ministry of Trade and Industry since 2013, along with the total amounts involved.<\/p>\n Over the weekend, leaked documents circulated showing exchanged letters between South Supreme Airline and the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n The letters included a sovereign guarantee and cheques worth $20,064,950 and $193,248,955.90, respectively.<\/p>\n In a press conference on Sunday, Ayii confirmed that the leaked cheques pertain to claims for air services provided to the government in 2013 by South Supreme Airline.<\/p>\n He lashed out at peddlers of fake news that it was not a \u2018dirty deal\u2019 as they thought and that he did not bribe anyone nor involved in any kind of corruption practices with officials.<\/p>\n Ayii said, the cheques in question are not yet settled by the government as South Supreme \u201cup to now we have not received a single pound, the government had not settled us.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Bosco Bush The owner of South Supreme Airlines, Ayii Duang Ayii has been summoned by the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA) amid allegations surrounding leaked cheques worth millions of dollars that have circulated on social media.
