A hygienic environment helps protect against health risks within the hospital and at home, especially as many people seek treatment here,\u201d Malou stated.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted the urgent need for cleanliness, particularly given the current spike in malaria cases.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf patients come to a hospital that is not clean, they could contract additional illnesses,\u201d he explained. \u201cThis is why the South Sudan Red Cross is focused on this cleanup initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Terran Madit Terran, Medical Director of Rumbek Hospital, praised the South Sudan Red Cross for their impactful work in promoting health and hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe received a good number of volunteers from the South Sudan Red Cross this morning, and they cleaned the wards and the surrounding areas thoroughly. This type of cooperation is invaluable,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHygiene is a crucial aspect of health, and we hope to continue this collaboration towards achieving our shared goals of a healthier, cleaner society through WASH initiatives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Debora Aguek Ngang, a cleaner in the malaria ward, also expressed gratitude for the support from the South Sudan Red Cross.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe lack adequate cleaning materials to maintain the wards,\u201d she said, urging the government and partners to provide necessary supplies.<\/p>\n<p>Despite facing salary delays of over nine months, she remains dedicated to helping patients achieve better health.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign not only improved the hospital&#8217;s environment but also reinforced the commitment of local organizations to enhance public health standards in Rumbek.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Yang Ater Yang &nbsp; South Sudan Red Cross On Tuesday conducted a successful one-day cleaning campaign at Lakes Rumbek Hospital State, aiming to promote hygiene and health in the community.
