South Sudan National Bureau of Standards is set to go a notch higher in its testing capabilities at the border point.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n On Saturday, the National Bureau of Standards announced on its official page the acquisition of a new set of laboratory equipment aimed at strengthening surveillance of substandard products entering the country.<\/p>\n “The newly procured lab kits would boost testing capabilities to clampdown low-rate products from entering the country,” stated Gloria Nyoka, the Executive Director for the Bureau of Standards.<\/p>\n \u201cThe South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS) received new laboratory checkers to enhance testing capabilities at the Nimule border post and Juba laboratory,\u201d partly read the statement.<\/p>\n Ms. Nyoka lauded the South Sudan Revenue Authority for strong cooperation that boosted consumer protection and the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n \u201cI deeply appreciate the South Sudan Revenue Authority for their strong cooperation, which has significantly contributed to enhancing consumer protection and strengthening the country\u2019s economy,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n The Boss of the bureau also accentuated the critical need for further investment in laboratory equipment and advancing facilities to ensure full operation capacity.<\/p>\n Nyoka cited that her priorities are to equip the lab with equipment to allow technicians to carry out their mandate efficiently and effectively for the protection of the common citizens.<\/p>\n The upgrade of the Nimule laboratory facility comes as part of the Bureau’s ongoing efforts to combat the influx of poor-quality goods and ensure the protection of South Sudanese consumers.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By William Madouk South Sudan National Bureau of Standards is set to go a notch higher in its testing capabilities at the border point.
