Minister of Agriculture in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, Garang Chan, has issued a stern warning against the cutting and logging of trees in the state.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Minister Chan stated that he has given a 3-month ultimatum to the local residents to cease the felling of trees, particularly valuable species like mahogany.<\/p>\n He emphasized that commissioners in the state have been instructed to enforce the order and arrest any non-compliant individuals.<\/p>\n “I am giving a three-month ultimatum to the local residents to avoid cutting down trees,” said Minister Chan.<\/p>\n “This is something we must abide by, and we cannot tolerate any lawlessness.
