At least five children have reportedly died from hunger among the hundreds of returnees camped at Bar-nyiwec Boma in Nyalath Payam, Aweil Center County, Northern Bahr El Ghazal State.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Athuai Athuai Diing, the chief of the returnees, explained that they were relocated to Bar-nyiwec Boma by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) and the state government.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were brought here by the RRC and the state government, but we have received no assistance. It is painful for us; five children have died due to a lack of food,\u201d stated Athuai.<\/p>\n \u201cMany others are starving because we have nothing to eat.\u201d<\/p>\n Adut Garang, a returnee, echoed these concerns, stressing the dire situation.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are no essential commodities or shelter. The RRC has not provided any tangible services for us.
