Turkish Embassy in Juba, on Thursday 5th September, delivered agricultural tools and seeds to farmers in Bilinyang Boma of Juba County.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The items delivered include; six hundred pieces of maloda, six hundred pieces of panga and another six hundred pieces of sickles. Other items are; cowpeas and sorghum equivalent to 1.2 metric tons.<\/p>\n These agricultural items were delivered following an earlier request made by the head chief of Bilinyang Boma to the office of the Ambassador through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).<\/p>\n In his remarks, Ambassador Erdem Mutaf expressed appreciation for the chief of Bilinyang for demonstrating good leadership by engaging the communities to peacefully coexist and encouraging agricultural activities through the allocation of farmlands.<\/p>\n Recalling the previous various humanitarian assistance rendered by the Embassy to the people of Bilinyang, Mutaf noted that the latest support will boost agricultural production for self-reliance.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the third time we brought to you agricultural seeds and tools to increase your capacity to increase agricultural production and feed yourself,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The consignment will help each household to receive one kilogram of seeds, as well as one maloda, panga and sickle respectively.<\/p>\n Head Chief Paul Tombe Azaria of Bilinyang Boma recognizes the consistent support of the Turkish Embassy for the people of Bilinyang, especially for providing agricultural tools.<\/p>\n He believes that supporting a farmer with tools is more valuable than just providing food.<\/p>\n \u201cIn our culture in Bilinyang as Bari, he who gives you food and denies you the hoe to dig is a witch.
