Commissioner Charles Data Bullen of Morobo County has committed to settling the SSP 15 million in outstanding tuition fees for students on local scholarships studying in Juba.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The students faced the threat of being expelled from their schools due to unpaid fees.<\/p>\n Commissioner Data said the county government has an initiative formed to support students from the area who are willing to pursue medical-related courses in the higher institutions of learning every year.<\/p>\n The current group impacted includes 16 students, with 10 enrolled at the Juba Nursing and Midwifery School and the remaining 6 at the Juba Health Science Institute.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have students in Juba Nursing and Midwifery School, they are like 10 and the money needed is like 7,253,000 SSP,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cAlso we have some students from Juba Health Science Institute, they are like 6, and for them, it was clear that the amount needed as arrears was 3,243,000, and the total needed is 6,909,000 South Sudanese Pounds, including 150 US Dollars, for national exams fee, and 12 rims of paper,\u201d Data explained.<\/p>\n He said, efforts are underway to remit a total sum of SSP 12.5 million to both schools, while the remaining balance of 2.5 million will be completed within the shortest time.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, we have taken a step of paying like Twelve Million Five Hundred for both schools, and we shall still have some balance of Two Million Five Hundred,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve already earmarked where money is to be paid to them (schools).
