{"id":28886,"date":"2024-09-23T07:49:29","date_gmt":"2024-09-23T07:49:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onecitizendaily.com\/?p=28886"},"modified":"2024-09-23T07:49:29","modified_gmt":"2024-09-23T07:49:29","slug":"let-politics-not-chase-away-people-to-camps-again-lukuduthe-deputy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/23\/let-politics-not-chase-away-people-to-camps-again-lukuduthe-deputy\/","title":{"rendered":"Let politics not chase away people to camps again-Lukuduthe Deputy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By William Madouk<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State, has advise against politics of violence that forces citizens out of the country.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet politics not chase our people back to camps again\u201d, Paulino Lukudu while speaking in Yei, during International Peace Day celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy governor urged citizens to embrace peace, live in harmony and master spirit of dialogue in solving misunderstandings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeace will come if we forgive one another because if somebody wronged, you know that person is not a Satan, and also if somebody did you good remember he is not an angel \u2013 that is our human nature,\u201d Lukudu said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf such person found himself in wrong and apologize, please let us forgive him and welcome him back to our communities and nation so that we enjoy lasting and sustainable peace,\u201d he advised.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy boss of state, noted that current conflicts were only political motivated \u2013 with eyes fixed on the government seats, adding that political crisis shouldn\u2019t displace the citizens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, let political crisis not contribute in chasing our people out of their homeland, it must be solved at level of communities or political parties,\u201d he echoed.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Lukudu advised politicians not to allow their thirst for power amount to suffering of people, asserting that whoever needs seat should form a party and participate in polls via democratic processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhoever need a seat in the government can forms his\/her party and with his party he can participate in the elections and become part of the government,\u201d he continued \u201cwe don\u2019t politics to chase our people back to camps once again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The deputy governor implied that should there be a peace, South Sudan would have been developed by far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet us give chance for peace and dialogue so that we can have human and infrastructure development,\u201d he instructed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI heard from the youth leader that road network is very bad, if we have peace and accept it, this road will be rehabilitated,\u201d he resonated.<\/p>\n<p>The event was organized under the theme \u201cCultivating a Culture of Peace in Central Equatoria State.\u201d It was attended by senior governor officials in Central Equatoria state.<\/p>\n<p>The occasion emphasised the essential role of dialogue and collaboration between security forces, the community, and humanitarian partners in advancing lasting peace in Greater Yei.<\/p>\n<p>The International Peace Day is celebrated annually on September 21.<\/p>\n<p>Thereafter, the occasion was concluded with a football match between Lasu and Otogo as part of the Football for Peace and Unity initiative, symbolizing the role of sports in bringing communities together<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By William Madouk &nbsp; Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State, has advise against politics of violence that forces citizens out of the country. \u201cLet politics not chase our people back to camps again\u201d, Paulino Lukudu while speaking in Yei, during International Peace Day celebration.
