Former Commissioner of Yei River County, Aggrey Cyrus Kanyikwa, joined residents in a community clean-up campaign around Yei Civil Hospital.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The cleaning of the hospital, which took place over the weekend, was meant to improve the cleanliness and overall health of the hospital premises.<\/p>\n Kanyikwa, who was dismissed from his position in August and replaced by Emmanuel Taban Seme, actively participated in the clean-up alongside members of the Pentecostal Church.<\/p>\n His involvement in community service reflects his ongoing commitment to the well-being of residents.<\/p>\n In a statement seen by this outlet, Kanyikwa encouraged other leaders to prioritize service to their communities, regardless of personal gains.<\/p>\n \u201cService provision is not only about expectations of return in wages and salaries that are collected from the public for public services in forms of taxes, gifts, contributions, and business earnings but is about meeting one\u2019s obligation as a citizen as well as a servant of Almighty God, the people, and the nation,\u201d Cyrus said.<\/p>\n He stated that for leaders to meet the demands of the people, there is a need to have for God and the country.<\/p>\n \u201cFaith, commitment, determination, obedience, and loyalty to Almighty God and the Nation are much more demanding from each one of us, and we have always fallen short of such potential demand from our lives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The former commissioner called on the residents of Yei River County and the citizens to engage in activities that do not require cash contributions, like cleanliness campaign.<\/p>\n He called on the believers to embark on helping those in need and providing voluntary services to the community, citing that such activities reflect one\u2019s faith in God.<\/p>\n \u201cFaith is not only about spiritual discipline, but it’s much more about serving those in need willingly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Cyrus also called on the youth to engage in a general cleanliness campaign to keep Yei River County clean and green.<\/p>\n The former commissioner expressed that the love for the country relies on the need to deliver services to the people in the area.<\/p>\n He appealed to the leaders to engage the communities around to keep the hospital premises clean.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Yiep Joseph Former Commissioner of Yei River County, Aggrey Cyrus Kanyikwa, joined residents in a community clean-up campaign around Yei Civil Hospital.
