A student at the University of Juba (UoJ) has called on the United Nations (UN) Agencies operating in the country to support the higher learning institution to realize a robust infrastructural development plans.<\/p>\n
This call came during the UN Day marked at the University of Juba on Thursday under the theme Solidarity and Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n
Speaking on behalf of the students, Chol Kongnyin Mathok called on the UN Agencies to align and show solidarity in rebuilding educational institutions in South Sudan especially the University of Juba.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn line with the theme of this year\u2019s celebration, I would like to urge all of us, especially the UN Agencies to show solidarity with the educational institutions in South Sudan. Particularly, the University of Juba in order to achieve sustainable development,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe recommend the United Nations Agencies to step in capacity building and leaving a legacy of solving inadequate infrastructural development in the University of Juba,\u201d urges Mathok.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Prof. Justo Wani, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance applauded the marking of the UN Day at the university\u2019s premises, calling on the public to visit and engage with the institution officials anytime.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sure some of you have not entered this fence since you\u2019re working here in Juba, but I think from today onwards, the door will be open for you. You can come here anytime and ask whatever you want of us,\u201d said Prof. Wani<\/p>\n
