Authorities in Jonglei State have confirmed that the death toll from the recent inter-clan conflict in Nyirol County has risen to seven.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The clashes erupted last week between the Cie-Pual and Cie-Khertut sections of Cie-Dumin in Lankien, following a revenge killing that occurred on August 29, 2024, when a member of Cie-Dumin killed an individual from Cie-Pual.<\/p>\n Jonglei State Minister of Information, Nyamar Lony Thichot Ngundeng, reported that four deaths occurred on the first day of the conflict, with an additional three fatalities recorded on October 31.<\/p>\n She urged the communities in Nyirol to maintain calm while the government works to address the situation.
