South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Forces (SSPDF) calls on public not to panic but co-operate with a joint security force on operation during the festive season.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Army spokesperson, Maj. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang, made the call on Tuesday, during media briefing over the deployment of the joint security force in the city.<\/p>\n Lul said that the public should collaborate with the forces, as they are meant to protect the people and their property.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are urging members of the public that in case they have any concern, they should report to police stations or any area where there are these joint security forces,\u201d Lul said.<\/p>\n He revealed that the joint security force, comprise members of the tiger, the military police, ground force, and National Police service as well as National security.<\/p>\n \u201cAll these joint security forces are playing different roles. Those in charge of traffic will, of course, take care of the traffic and guide our citizens on the need to drive carefully with a lot of care,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He vowed that the army is ready to protect the public and their property all the time.<\/p>\n \u201cWe in the organized forces are very much ready with the right numbers put in place to provide security from now until we are done with the festive season,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Lul urged members of the public never to panic, citing that the heavy deployment is purposely to deal with criminals during the festive season.<\/p>\n \u201d The security forces will provide protection to members of the public and their property, he said. Lul added that the deployment is meant to ensure that the public freely celebrate Christmas and the new year with no fear of theft or any other crime.<\/p>\n He added that the deployment has been done in the whole country, including the states, to ensure that people celebrate Christmas and the new year.<\/p>\n Lul called on the public to drive carefully during the celebration, adding that the traffic police with the joint forces would be able to guide and control.<\/p>\n He expressed that the SSPDF is capable to ensure that people are protected during the festive season. \nHe emphasized the forces are to be deployed in public places, roundabouts, and markets, as well as on streets in the city.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe are showing people that we have what it takes to protect them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
