I pledge to live in Unity with everyone. I know my unity didn\u2019t work so well in 2024. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I had some issues with others. I had also some issues with myself. I didn\u2019t define how I could be united with others. In 2025, I am surely going to pursue my unity. Being in unity with others will not mean I will be humiliated without saying a word. I will say \u201cNo\u201d to any form of humiliation or exploitation but with love. I will fight for my rights but that won\u2019t destroy my unity with others. I will base my unity on reconciliation. I will disagree sometimes, but will later reconcile. I will fight sometimes, but will soon reconcile immediately after the fight. Unity will be my slogan in 2025.<\/p>\n

As Dr John Garang was termed the father of peace, I will be a great man for peace in 2025! I will preach peace whereas I will be in 2025. In my office, I will preach it. In my home, I will preach it. In my lecture hall, I will preach it. In my neighbourhood, I will preach it. In the community meetings, I will preach it. In the taxi, I will preach peace. Peace will be written on my back. It will be written on my forehead. In my eyes, people will see peace. I will make everyone love peace. I will vaccinate both young and old with peace. If I see two people wanting to fight, I will tell them that they are friends; they should not fight but embrace peace! Peace be upon everyone in 2025!<\/p>\n

I pledge to develop myself! I will read books to develop myself. I will listen to some teachings on YouTube to add knowledge. I will master a skill! I didn\u2019t learn any skill in 2024 for survival. I will learn from other people. I will also help others develop themselves. If it means mentoring them, I will do it. If it means counselling some of them, I will do it. If it means motivating them, I will do it. I will help others discover their uniqueness. Others are unique but they need to be told. I will create awareness of the importance of personal development.<\/p>\n

This is important! I will move out of my comfort zone! I have been a teacher. I thought teaching was the only way but in 2025, that won\u2019t work. I fear leaving teaching thinking I won\u2019t be valuable. I thought it was only teaching making me live happy. I have learned I can add value to life whether a teacher or not. I am the master of my happiness. I don\u2019t need any external force to make me happy. If my comfort zone is my mindset, I will change my mindset. If my comfort zone is my job, I will change my job. If my comfort zone is my association, I will change my association. No comfort zone in 2025 for Nyak!<\/p>\n

I am not taking the burdens of 2024 to 2025! I know things didn\u2019t go so well in 2024. I have a lot of regrets and blame. But I am not taking them to 2025. I have given myself for what I didn\u2019t do very well in 2025. I didn\u2019t plan so well. I offended some people for nothing. I corrupted it somehow. I neglected my duties. I didn\u2019t give any support to my parents. I didn\u2019t give help to the needy. I accepted humiliation and exploitation. I was enslaved but didn\u2019t bounce back. I didn\u2019t make good money for myself. I underestimated my potential. I undermined my worth. I got frustrations in and out. Despite all those, I am going to 2025 with a pure mind! I will start 2025 with a fresh mind.<\/p>\n

I will expand my social world in 2025! I will create time to be with my family members. I will have valuable time with my friends. In my office, I will talk with everyone. I will greet my neighbors. I promise to know a hundred names of people! I have learned the secret of knowing people\u2019s names. It gives a sense of belonging. If you know someone\u2019s name, it means you own the person. Any person feels free with you if you know his\/her name. A name is the first identity of a person. I will not end up knowing people\u2019s names alone, I will get to know more about them. I believe in the power of spoken words. Try to talk to people; you will learn a lot of things. I will chat with my Facebook friends. I will be with people in family or community meetings. I will schedule visitations. My social world won\u2019t be the same in 2025!<\/p>\n

I must start a business in 2025! Shame on me! I have lived for 33 years now but have never started a business! I have grown up with the mindset of being employed. I didn\u2019t know employment is slavering. Being an employee, you have no financial freedom and time freedom! You work under pressure. I have experienced it so bitterly. I got employed for seven good years but life can\u2019t change. I got warned for staying out of the workplace for only 30 minutes when I had nothing to do at the workplace. I could dedicate 8 hours a day but my payment could not meet my time spent. I was insulted and condemned for only a small thing. With business, I will have time freedom and financial freedom. I better devote my time and energy to what will benefit my children after me. Business changes life a million times more than employment.<\/p>\n

I likewise, encourage my people to go for business. We will get out of poverty by dialling into the business world. In Africa, every child goes to school with a mindset of being employed after school. It is the reason we die poor in Africa. The big business people in the West donate to the poor employed individuals in Africa. Instead of those ten educated individuals to form a company, they form an NGO. They will waste all their time lobbying for funds. The people donating the funds are the business people. Why not go for business instead?<\/p>\n

Bullshit single life! I am pledging a woman for 2025! Nyak will live two in 2025! I have tasted single life! It is bitter than concentrated boiled neem leaves for a sick person. Single life is hell for a mature person. You have no one to share ideas with. You have no one to advise you. You see children playing and you feel like calling fire from heaven to burn them because you don\u2019t have a child there. Visitors are coming home but no one to welcome them. You come back from work but one is there to smile and say, sweetheart or Daddy, welcome back from work. It is very cold but no one to keep you warm. Hahaha, it is so weird to go out alone! I hate single life. My single friends, let\u2019s pledge to get wives in 2025.<\/p>\n

I will pledge to continue writing for the nation! I will touch the lives of so many people in my nation. I might not have written enough opinions for my people in 2024 but I must try my best in 2025. I will make my people read.<\/p>\n

eading is life. We read to enjoy ourselves. We read for information. We read to appreciate the work of others. We need to empower. We read to educate others. Building a reading culture will make you live happy and exposed. I know people have poor reading culture but I will continue to write anyway. I got a little bit discouraged when I published my first book because people could just tell me that it was not necessary to publish a book. You would have chosen to empower me instead. We need more writers in our nation. The few who are trying won\u2019t continue to write if discouraged. Let\u2019s learn to encourage them though their writings don\u2019t make a lot of impacts in our lives now. They will one time impact us. I will write for the nation.<\/p>\n

I finally pledge to live a humble and simple life! I have achievements but they won\u2019t make me live above everyone. With humility, I will respect everyone. With humility, I will learn from everyone. With humility, I will listen to people\u2019s advice. With humility too I will value everyone\u2019s life. I will be simple in my words. I will be simple in my actions. I will be simple in my deeds. Pride won\u2019t get any chance to be in my life. I know I am very educated but it is not something to boast of. I can\u2019t be special because I am very educated. Everyone is special whether educated or not; whether rich or poor; whether master or slave. We should treat everyone with respect. I pledge to do so.<\/p>\n
