Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State, Paulino Lukudu Obede, met with a delegation from the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) to discuss and plan the upcoming Commissioners and Mayors Forum.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n CES County commissioners and mayors\u2019 Forum is an event that brings together all local government officials in a bid to build social cohesion, enhance conflict mitigation, peacebuilding and service delivery to communities.<\/p>\n While the specific date for the forum has not yet been announced, Governor Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani directed Deputy Governor Obede to convene the meeting with the UNMISS team to ensure the forum’s successful implementation.<\/p>\n The meeting was also attended by Minister of Peace Building, the Director General at the Ministry of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency, and the Chairperson of the Central Equatoria State NGO and Partners Desk.<\/p>\n \u201cKey discussions revolved around the forum\u2019s logistics, agenda setting, and stakeholder participation,\u201d partly reads a statement.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Commissioner\u2019s and Mayors Forum is envisioned as a vital platform to address governance, security, and development challenges across the state while fostering collaboration between local authorities and development partners,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n Deputy governor emphasized the significance of the forum in driving sustainable progress and reaffirmed the state government\u2019s commitment to ensuring its success.<\/p>\n He commended UNMISS and other partners for their steadfast support in strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery in Central Equatoria State.<\/p>\n Furthermore, Mr. Lukudu accentuated the importance of unified efforts to tackle the challenges faced by the state, ensuring that outcomes from the forum will benefit all citizens.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By William Madouk Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State, Paulino Lukudu Obede, met with a delegation from the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) to discuss and plan the upcoming Commissioners and Mayors Forum.
