Speaker of the Northern Bahr El Gazal State\u2019s Assembly, Achol William Amou, has urged newly appointed ministers and officials, who took their oath of office last Friday in Awei Town, to unite in the fight against corruption, which he described as deeply entrenched in the state.<\/p>\n
Achol William emphasized that corruption poses the biggest challenge to the region, with many of the state\u2019s resources being exploited by powerful elites.<\/p>\n
\u201cI take this opportunity to urge the newly appointed officials, particularly the Minister of Finance, to lead efforts in monitoring the financial resources being collected in the market,\u201d said Achol.<\/p>\n
He also called on the Minister of Education to assist teachers in receiving their payments to help restore the education system.<\/p>\n
The newly appointed officials include Ruay Dut Akol as Minister of Finance, Akoon Diing Angok as Minister of Education, and Gabriel Deng Yel as the head of the Ministry of Information.
