Police in Aweil West County, Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, have arrested Deng Chan, a 65-year-old man, for allegedly spearing his son at Anyuop-jang village.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n According to police investigator Philip Agany, the incident occurred after the son allegedly set fire to a hut containing the family’s goats and sorghum, destroying their property.<\/p>\n The father, upon discovering the act, reacted violently and speared his son.<\/p>\n \u201cHe speared his son, who is currently recovering,\u201d Agany said. \u201cWe have to detain him so that the law takes its course.\u201d<\/p>\n The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 PM.
