Police are investigating the discovery of human remains in a dense forest.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Residents of Aroyo Payam, Aweil Center County, in Northern Bahr El Gazal state, speculate that the man may have been killed and consumed by wild animals or possibly a cannibal while hunting in the area.<\/p>\n A police investigator in Aroyo, the county headquarters, reported that the discovery caused shock. Authorities were alerted to the remains and upon arriving at the scene, they found only clothing and a skull.<\/p>\n Dimo Uchalla, the investigator, stated that the remains were discovered on Thursday, suggesting the man may have died sometime prior.<\/p>\n “We found only the clothes and his skull after hunters discovered the remains. It appears he was eaten by wild animals. It’s shocking, especially since some believe he may have been killed by a cannibal while hunting,” Uchalla said. “He was wearing a sports t-shirt, which makes identification difficult as no relatives have come forward to report a missing person. The location where the remains were found is deep within a dense forest, far from cultivated farmland.”<\/p>\n Uchalla explained that officers trekked for approximately two hours to reach the scene to investigate.<\/p>\n He warned locals against venturing deep into the forest without a clear purpose.<\/p>\n Uchalla noted that the investigation led them to cattle camps belonging to nomadic groups such as the Fallata or Amborroro, who are sometimes found deep within the forest.<\/p>\n He urged the public to be vigilant regarding relatives who may be mentally distressed, as they could wander off and meet a similar fate.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the county commissioner emphasized the need for vigilance, citing reports of fear among women who cut grass in the area.<\/p>\n He added that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has conducted searches in the forests, but no further information has been released since the search began.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Hou Akot Hou Police are investigating the discovery of human remains in a dense forest.
