President Salva Kiir Mayardit has appointed Lt. General James Koang Chuol as the new governor of Upper Nile State, a region currently experiencing turmoil.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n This decision comes after the dismissal of his predecessor, James Odhok Oyai, although no official explanation has been provided for his removal.<\/p>\n Lt.
