The newly appointed Undersecretary in the Ministry of General Education and Instruction vows continuous fight against Exams malpractices, commonly known as \u2018Machot\u2019.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Kacuol Mabil Piok, while taking on his new roles, expressed that the Ministry remains committed to ensure that Exams leakages never surface again.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will work together to ensure that deal away with Machot (Exams leakages)\u201d Kacuol said.<\/p>\n He applauded former Minister of General Education, Awut Deng Acuil and the team, for fighting hard to end \u2018Machot\u2019, citing that such strength continuous.<\/p>\n \u201cWe shall continue work hard to ensure that \u2018Machot\u2019 or exams leakage does not exist in this country, it is affecting quality of our Education\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Due to lack of \u2018Machot\u2019 over 40% of 45000 candidates who seat for 2023-2024 South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (SSCSE) failed.<\/p>\n The undersecretary said that with support from the team at the Ministry, all forms of malpractices will come to past.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, you will definitely be rest assured that I will uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and integrity in our operations\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Mabil promised to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability and integrity.<\/p>\n “For the last 10 years of my professional service in various capacities, I have promoted transparency, accountability and integrity which resulted in successful crucial donor projects particularly in the field of social protection\u201d he said.<\/p>\n President Salva Kiir recently appointed Kacuol Mabil Piok as the Undersecretary for Ministry of General Education and Instruction.<\/p>\n A lecturer at the University of Juba\u2019s Centre for Peace and Development Studies, Kacuol, fills the position after the predecessor was promoted to Minister of General Education and Instruction replacing Awut Deng Acuil.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Minister of General Education and Instruction, Kuyuk Abol Kuyuk urged the staff to work as a team in the fight against Examination leakages.<\/p>\n He expressed that anybody involved in Exams leakages will face serious punishment.<\/p>\n During the commencement Certificate of Primary Leaving Examinations across the country, with 79, 000 candidates in 2024, the former National Minister of General Education and Instruction Awut Deng Achuil issued a stern warning to teachers, invigilators, and security personnel to ensure that there were no examination malpractices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Yiep Joseph The newly appointed Undersecretary in the Ministry of General Education and Instruction vows continuous fight against Exams malpractices, commonly known as \u2018Machot\u2019.
