He said among the South Sudanese nationals, some went\nthere for medical purposes, and others were students, both those were on scholarship,\nand others who went on their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday I returned to Juba, with me\nI brought around 26 South Sudanese nationals. They were stranded in India for\nthe last four months, most of them had gone for medical treatment, and some for\nstudy purposes.\u201d Most of the students were sent by India for further training\npurposes; some of them went on their own. \u201cI brought everybody, this is the\nthing that South Sudan Embassy in Delhi cooperated, regarding the clearance for\neverybody, they have safely landed here,\u201d Ambassador Moorthy explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The students, according to the\nAmbassador had finished their studies in India. He (the ambassador), said he\nleft Juba for India in March, and stayed there for some months due to the coronavirus\nlockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This comes as South Sudan\nrelationship with India is getting robust bilaterally every day, since the\ncountry got its independence from Sudan in 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIndia [and] South Sudan\nrelationship is very fantastic. It is going stronger and stronger all along,\nsince South Sudan got Independence in 2011, since then bilateral relationship has\nbeen strengthened every day.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ambassador said India was\ngetting all the cooperation and support from South Sudan. The Indian government\nis also helping a lot, we are especially concentrating on health and education sector,\nhe said. \u201cWe are going to build on security sector, the process is going on, very\nsoon we are going to deliver some COVID-19 related medicine to South Sudan, the\nprocess is on,\u201d said the Indian Ambassador to South Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that India is ready to\ninvestment in South Sudan, but the stability of the country is very important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEconomically it is very good you\nsee a lot of things are being imported from India; once the situation is stabilized,\nwe will bring in India business people also. So many Indian business people are\nvery keen to invest in South Sudan for everything, but stability is very\nimportant. Once stability returns, automatically Indian business people will\ncome. Indian community is very strong here, they are running hotels and supermarkets.\nThey are doing very good business here,\u201d Moorthy explained.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides, one of the stranded South\nSudanese nationals, who returned together with the Ambassador, Malish Sadrak\nPual, said he was admitted in the department of water resources development and\nmanagement, for a master program for two years at the Indian Institute of\nTechnology in 2018. He added that he got great knowledge from India and\ntogether with line ministries in the country it will be additional force in addressing\nsome of the problems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, Yak Mayel Dak,\nsaid he went to India in September, 2019, for kidney transplant in the Indian\nhospital called Zydus, [Multi Specialist Hospital]. He said everything was fine\nbefore COVID-19 and they didn\u2019t feel like they were in a foreign land, saying\nthey were well served and now was fully cured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On another note, Pastor Louis\nAngelo for African In-Land Church (AIC), said he went to India in October,\n2019, escorting his Mum to the Bangalore hospital for treatment, and stayed for\nten months.
