Central Equatoria State Governor, Gen. Augustino Jadalla Kamilo Wani, returned to Juba on Saturday after a four-day tour of Morobo County.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The Governor’s visit was prompted by renewed clashes between forces loyal to the Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Army-In Opposition (SPLA-IO) and government forces in Panyume, Kimba, and Gulumbi areas of Morobo county.<\/p>\n These clashes have resulted in a dire humanitarian situation, with significant internal displacement.<\/p>\n During his time in Morobo, Governor Jadalla visited internally displaced persons (IDPs), where the state Relief Rehabilitation Commission distributed 24 tons of food and 25,000 dollars to the displaced population.<\/p>\n Upon his return to Juba, Governor Jadalla was received by senior members of the State cabinet, led by Deputy Governor, Paulino Lukudu Obede, at Juba International Airport.<\/p>\n The Governor’s delegation to Morobo County included key state officials, the State Advisor for Legal Affairs, Hon. Naphtali Hassan Gale; Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency, Hon. Leon Abe Brown; Minister of Peace Building, Hon. Jacob Aligo Lo-Lado; Minister of Health, Hon. Nejua Mursal Juma; and Minister of Gender, Child, and Social Welfare, Hon. Eluzai Zendia Abu.<\/p>\n According to a statement from the Governor’s Press Unit, the primary objectives of the mission were to gain firsthand insight into the humanitarian crisis facing local communities and IDPs, to assess urgent needs, to improve the government’s intervention strategies, and to strengthen the implementation of sustainable resettlement and recovery programs for the affected population.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Kei Emmanuel Duku Central Equatoria State Governor, Gen.
