Police in Jonglei State in Bor have reported several instances of destruction caused by a series of heavy downpours this week.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The heavy rains that began on Sunday and continued into Tuesday brought significant damage to houses and fences.<\/p>\n Speaking to this publication, Police Spokesperson 1st Lt. James Akech in Jonglei State says several houses and fences have been damaged during the heavy rain.<\/p>\n He states that the rains were characterised by strong winds and lightning. Mr. Akech added that there were also reports of people sustaining injuries from lightning strikes.<\/p>\n \u201cIt came with a lot of destruction, most of the fences are destroyed and houses, some people also got injured.
