{"id":36265,"date":"2025-06-04T09:16:02","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T07:16:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onecitizendaily.com\/?p=36265"},"modified":"2025-06-04T09:16:02","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T07:16:02","slug":"two-soldiers-injured-in-pigi-clashes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/04\/two-soldiers-injured-in-pigi-clashes\/","title":{"rendered":"Two soldiers injured in Pigi clashes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Manas James<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>At least two South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Force (SSPDF) officers were injured in clashes with the rival Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Army-In Opposition (SPLA-IO) in Jonglei State\u2019s Pigi County on Monday, authorities said.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In an interview with No. 1 Citizen Daily Newspaper, Suleiman Deng Thon, the Pgi County commissioner, said the SSPDF officers were waylaid while on patrol,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>The county commissioner claimed four SPLA-IO officers were killed in the clashes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn our side, only two soldiers were injured.
